Programme Note #1: The Odd Couple

VB wrote “I have long been a devotee of american humour and Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple is one of the best examples of this type of comedy. Those of you who are acquainted with the television series will already be familiar with Felix and Oscar, and I hope you will accept our ‘odd couple’, their poker playing friends and of course the delightful Pigeon sisters, with the same enjoyment as I have experienced at rehearsals.”

Programme Note #2: The Odd Couple

“We begin our new season with one of the most sparkling of modern comedies. In December Audrey Laye will be directing J. B. Priestley’s comedy, When We Are Married, and in the new year we look forward to Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and, to end the season, My Fair Lady.”

[and by the way ‘tea and biscuits’ were available during the interval; price 5p.]
